Supporting The Future of Sport: eCourier’s Partnership With Kitround
eCourier has partnered with Kitround to support the next generation of athletes across the UK. In light of the World Cup taking place, Team eCourier turned their attention to those in need. According to YouGov data, around three in four parents (72%) of children aged 4-18 believe a lack of access to sports equipment leads to fewer opportunities for those from lower-income families.
In response to the gap between sport and low income families, eCourier stepped up to the challenge of donating pre-loved good condition sportswear and equipment. As part of our CSR, caring for our local communities is one of our many goals as a business. In partnership with Kitround, we aspire to collect sportswear and equipment donations for the dedicated team at kitround to donate to those in need.
What is Kitround?
Kitround is a UK-based platform and charity who helps keep sports kit in circulation instead of ending up in landfill. People have an option of buying very discounted kit via their online marketplace, providing a cheaper option to pricey retailers.
Kitround also has close ties to schools, grassroots clubs, and community groups across the UK who may request it for young individuals who aren’t otherwise able to access sports kit and equipment. This distribution is done via their KitMatch programme.
How eCourier Got Involved
eCourier has received a KitBin from Kitround, giving Team eCourier the opportunity to donate pre-loved sports kit, equipment, and accessories by bringing them into the office.
Once we’ve collected enough donations, our couriers deliver the kit to Kitround’s drop-off point. The donations are then sorted and stored, ready to be distributed to local schools and organisations where they’re needed most.
