Important Update: Changes to EU Customs Duties from July 2026
From 1 July 2026, changes to European Union (EU) customs regulations will affect shipments valued at €150 or less.
Previously, low-value shipments could enter the EU without customs duty under the “de minimis” exemption. Under the new regulations, this exemption will no longer apply.
What this means for your shipments:
• A €3 customs duty charge will apply to each applicable line item on import declarations for shipments valued up to €150.
• Additional product information may be required when shipping goods into the EU.
• VAT regulations remain unchanged, and VAT will continue to apply to all imports regardless of shipment value.
Important exceptions
Certain exemptions may still apply, including:
• Business-to-business (B2B) shipments to VAT-registered recipients
• Shipments covered under applicable Free Trade Agreements
• Goods processed through the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme (conditions apply)
We are monitoring these regulatory changes closely and will continue to support customers to ensure smooth customs clearance.
